Sacramento Feature : Identity Boutique

While browsing through the goodies at Identity Boutique in midtown (2600 J Street) I came across some items that I couldn't resist to share.

Fall is what I like to call "comfy time." A special time in Sacramento when the leafs of the tress change colors to shades of orange, yellow and red, sprinkled by the rain of the November weather.   This gives any gal the perfect excuse to snuggles up with layers of big sweaters and or coats.

The big sweater featured on the right is that one lazy item that can go on your "to go" section in the closet. It goes perfect with dresses (as illustrated in this pic), jeans, and pretty much anything.

The middle dress has to be one of my favorites at the boutique. Some people don't appreciate a pattern but this can be the exception. A couple of big flowers brings to life this bold piece.

I saved the best for last, the coat. The chic design makes it a one of kind must have for fall. The great thing about this coat is the color that never goes out of style. I'm not certain that this picture does justice for how beautiful it looks in person but I hope it motivates you to keep one of these in your closet.

How do you make money from a blog?

Most first time bloggers are oblivious to the many different ways they can make money from a blog. Don't worry your are not alone here, the only reason I have some ideas on how to cash-in on this hobby is because of my digital marketing experience thus far. If this is truly your passion and you have a significant niche audience, you can go from wannabe blogger to full-time "real' blogger in no time.

Here are three simple ideas on how you can make some money while doing what you love:

Digital Shout Out -Part of your routine already requires you to do a couple of mentions and or tags (on your blog or social media accounts) when barging about something you like. If you have an audience that will be interested in buying the products you use you should be able to negotiate a fair exchange. Now, the key here is to charge a reasonable amount based on the reach you can deliver and the potential a mention has of selling the product you are promoting.

Banner Advertisement -  For better understanding purposes we will focus on Banner Advertisement through your blog. Once again, determining your rates depends on your reach, if you are pulling in thousands of unique views daily then selling advertisement to a small e-commerce business should not be difficult.

Product Placement - This type of marketing is probably one of the most common on social media and one of the easiest to recognize. Featuring a product where you have a strong voice to persuade your audience to consider buying the product is valuable to any business owner. You can negotiate featuring a product on a blog post or social media account for a reasonable price.

Start small, be patient and remember that 100 pennies equal a dollar. Everyone has to start somewhere.

Fall Jeans Favorites

Lately I have been having a thing for jeans. It maybe the extra pounds I've manage to gain this summer or just the fall weather that keeps my daily style casual with a hint of class. The routine is easy : jeans, t-shirt, blazer, complementary heels and repeat. After a month of this ongoing daily activity you can almost call me a "classy-casual jeans look expert." Here are my top 3 favorite jeans cuts for your entertainment.

Boyfriend jeans, the pair that every gal should have to dress down those sexy pair of heels you almost wish you could wear every day.

The tummy tucker, I have to admit that I have mix feelings about this style, but they have become a preference this fall.

Now, this cut here has to be my favorite. For the curvy gal like myself, the boot cut is a way to distract from the hips, of-course only if you wear it right.
